Goodwill Industries of Southeast Michigan celebrated their expansion with the grand opening of their new retail store, at 1400 US Hwy. 223, Adrian. The new store planned “Race in for Savings” grand opening festivities all weekend. Keith Trost, Executive Director at Goodwill, explained the mission and different parts of the organization, which the retail store sales help support and expand the job training and workforce development services.
The Adrian Farmer’s Market opened the 2017 season on May 27th with a ribbon cutting ceremony with members of the community and the Adrian Area Chamber of Commerce. Chamber President, John Bartoszewicz, Adrian Mayor Jim Berryman, and Michigan State Representative Bronna Kahle welcomed the group of local merchants to the community for the upcoming growing season.

Blue Boutique, the Goodwill Micro-Enterprise store, celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, April 7, 2017. “Changing lives one business at a time” is the mission of the independently operated entrepreneurial consignment shop. Each participating business is managed by an individual with barriers, who has a desire to start, develop and grow a small business and is currently enrolled in Goodwill’s Micro Enterprise program. We had a great crowd for the official kickoff Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the Adrian Area Chamber B2B Expo “All Things Working Together” on October 11, 2016 at the Adrian Tobias Center, Adrian College.
