Greetings from your new Executive Director here at your Adrian Chamber! As I start my third week with you, I wanted to touch base and let you know where we are at and where we are going. It’s been great to get back to Adrian to serve our community and reconnect with so many great people and businesses. I am inspired by the dedication, enthusiasm and support that I have encountered.
Over the last year, your Board of Directors and Interim Director Bill Kenyon led conversations that have put us in a great position to move forward and better serve you and our community. The business community consistently identified four areas of focus that are a need to see relevancy in your membership.
- Productive Networking Opportunities
- Leadership Education at all levels
- Business Promotion
- Collaborative Atmosphere
One of the first things we will be working toward is a revitalization of all events and programming offered through the Chamber from our monthly meetings to our signature yearly events, such as the Wine Down Wednesday after-hours fundraising event on Aug. 7th and the Business Expo on Nov. 1st. These events will focus on building your network, your business knowledge, your business resources, and our business community.
How can you be involved? Great Question!
We are forming a program committee that will evaluate and implement a yearlong plan to address all of these needs and create a reason for you and your employees to actively and consistently engage in the Chamber. If you have ideas or would like to be a part of this conversation, email Matt@AdrianAreaChamber.com to be a part of our future.
As we continue to move forward with new ideas and planning, I am looking forward to meeting and working with all of you to not only build and strengthen our businesses, but to continue the great work being done in our community to make the Adrian Area a great place to live, work and play.
Thanks for your time and I’m looking forward to what’s to come,
