The family operated Flying Otter Vineyard & Winery is situated on a 55 acre estate in Southeast Michigan and features an outdoor Tasting Pavilion, open from April-October each year on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, offering tastings, entertainment, wine education courses, crafting activities, and more.
Centrally located in Adrian, MI, the winery is less than 35 miles from Ann Arbor, Toledo and Jackson.
Wines are produced from grapes grown on the estate’s vineyard (including the award winning Frontenac). Estate-grown grapes are farmed using sustainable vineyard practices, and a great deal of hand labor, from planting vines to harvesting. Using cold hardy wine grape varieties that have been developed not only to survive Michigan’s potentially harsh winters, but to actually thrive in our particular terroir, we produce some wonderful, unique tasting wines.
Whether you are a wine expert looking for something new and different, or a wine novice just entering the wonderful world of wine, we invite you to visit us for a tasting or tour. Hours are: Friday 2:00 – 9:00 pm, Saturday 12:00 – 9:00 pm, and Sunday 12:00 – 6:00 pm.
