The Adrian Area Chamber recently held our annual meeting, where we introduced many parts of our new strategic plan. As we move the pendulum directed by that plan, we are concentrating on the value offerings to our members.

A large part of our membership base is categorized as community builders and business investors. Both groups are interested in a thriving economy, roundtable-type discussions, learning, value on investment and connections.

One value-added event that we have had in place for years is the Chamber’s Breakfast Club, and it will continue to be part of our growth strategy for membership. This opportunity was a recent redevelopment priority for the Chamber marketing committee, along with open forum discussions at recent Breakfast Club meetings.

The Breakfast Club is a great resource for local business owners to network in a small-group, informal setting to get to know each other and our businesses. It is also an event that provides short, professional development topics that can help improve a business, operation, or strategy.

On Thursday, February 15, 2018, from 7:30 – 9:00 am, we are featuring guest speaker Michael Jeffreys during our Breakfast Club event.

Michael Jeffreys is one of America’s most engaging sales and motivational speakers. Since 1988, he’s been delivering live sales training programs and motivational keynote speeches, and he has presented his seminars at more than 1,200 organizations.

His presentation is “Advanced Communication & Sales Strategies – 12 Proven Ideas for Building Relationships and Escalating Your Income”. The concepts he will be addressing are rarely discussed in typical sales seminars.

For instance, how do you convert more prospects into clients?  Mr. Jeffreys will explain how to focus on the major factors that can win more clients and referrals. Attendees will learn how to get on other people’s wavelengths, communicate more precisely, rethink word choices, exceed client expectations, improve follow-up methods, and much more.

Key Takeaways will be:

  • Understand how people are wired & influenced differently
  • Get people to like and trust you faster than ever before
  • Eliminate powerless language, know what to say instead
  • Dramatically improve thank you notes and birthday cards
  • Create an even larger vision for growing your client base

Chamber members help sponsor our events, and this event is sponsored by the Ely Wireless T-Mobile store, and will be held at the conference room of Greenstone Farm Credit Services, 5285 W US Hwy. 223 in Adrian. The event cost is five dollars, and coffee will be served. Please register early online at
